12x12 Bas-Relief: Texture Study

Students in ART111 at Miami University were tasked to take their previous implied texture and create a 2.5-dimensional low bas-relief to mimic the feeling it creates.

My project was to mimic the texture of a plastic water bottle. Inspired by the movement of water waves and rippling, I created a striped row of ups and downs, resembling that of water. In it, the waves are being interrupted by circular ripples to change the movement of water. Inspired by Tame Impala's, Currents, this bas-relief project explores the concept of liquified peace being interrupted and manipulated.
